Post Pregnancy Weight Loss
When it comes to post pregnancy weight loss there are a lot of things that can get in your way and sabotage your every attempt at losing baby weight. Sure, I talk a lot of many of the physiological “Blocking Factors” that can make post pregnancy weight loss more or less impossible. But there’s another type of “Blocking Factor” that is holding back millions of women from taking the first step toward achieving their goals and that “Blocking Factor” is their mind.
Without the right mindset, your diet won’t be nearly as effective, postpartum exercise will get you less than impressive results, and you are much more likely to give up and quit.
Don’t become a victim of your own mind. Instead, learn how to use your mind as a tool to guarantee your success. And if you do, then this success will carry over into every aspect of your life.
Here are 3 very important tips that will spark your post pregnancy weight loss in no time.
1. Find Your Source of Motivation
One of the very first things that you need to do before you ever think about losing weight after pregnancy is… Why do you want to lose this weight in the first place?
If you don’t have a solid source of motivation then you’ll likely lack the drive to see your goals through to the end. And when it comes to a solid source of motivation, I’m not referring to the common choices of… “to feel better about myself” or “to make my significant other happy”.
The truth is that you don’t need to lose weight in order feel better about yourself. Instead, you need find an external source of motivation that is bigger than yourself. Maybe you want to be a role model of success for your children. Maybe you want to be as happy and healthy as possible so you can teach your children how to be just as happy and healthy.
Whatever you choose, make sure you carry it with you as reminder throughout your post pregnancy weight loss journey.
2. Change Your Mindset
You will likely need to work just as hard on your mindset as you do on your weight loss.
It’s a natural motherly instinct to want to meet all of the needs of your children and family. But as moms, we all too often sacrifice our own needs for those of others. If you fail to meet your own needs then you’re only creating more unneeded stress in your life and your mood, relationships, and post pregnancy weight loss will suffer.
So change your mindset and find a way, whatever it takes, to make the time to commit to your post pregnancy weight loss so that you can be a better mother, significant other, friend, lover, and whatever else you choose to be.
3. Hold Yourself Accountable
Last but not least, you need to find a way to hold yourself accountable. Life throws you curves all the time and it’s easy for your post pregnancy weight loss plans to get derailed. So you need hold yourself accountable to ensure that this doesn’t happen.
Join a support group. Start this journey with a friend. Force yourself to donate some amount of money to your favorite charity for every day you get off track.
If you can follow these three tips then the question will no longer be, how to lose pregnancy weight, but rather how soon can you get there?
